Putting Astro on Hold

Breaks my heart to do this, but I'm putting my astronomy interests on hold for the foreseeable future. I need to reallocate my time and efforts toward more productive interests, including software and game development, building my skills as an artist, learning how to produce music for games, and pursuing new business opportunities.

As much as it does my soul good to practice observational astronomy and astrophotography, I'm not positioned to do this professionally. These are expensive disciplines to pursue, and are significant time sinks as well. I don't have the means to continue doing this right now. This includes community involvement, volunteer opportunities, and public outreach.

To be clear, this isn't me giving up. I can't give up. I just can't do this right now. I'm packing it all up. Optical equipment is being stored in water-tight containers with desiccants, and collected data is being moved to external storage for future processing. Eventually, I'll pick this up again someday.

Per aspera ad astra...
